A example of a fashion classic is a blazer jacket, its something that has been around for a while. Blazers are a classic fashion cycle starting around world war 2 and worn as a natural fit for casual wear. Blazers became very popular among British Mods in the early 60s, Mod bands such as The Who, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. The fashion classic has bubbled up from these icon, Making this a social signpost.

Military
Trends are a prevailing style, a current fashion or mode, an example of a trend is military style, being part of the fashion cycle first coming around after the second world war, bubbling up due to an insufficient supply of fabrics, money and the amount of businesses not having enough people to work, this is an economical signposts.
Midriff Tops
A fad is very popular but is very short lived. An example for this is a midriff top they are a big part of the fashion cycle bubbling up from 1950-1960 sexual revolution this continued well into the 1990’s making navel piercing and stomach tattoos very popular due to young social people rebelling.

Lisa Gormans fashion label launched in 1999, she has five flagship stores around australia. Her label is recognised for the quality of materials, shapes, styles and prints and all the environmentally friendly practices used. She is inspired by nature, colour, seasons, and social habits of people.

The next 3 hour class we had a pressure test to deconstruct 3 items of clothing and make something that would fit into our chosen designer,this is what our group of three came up with.
